Job Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Engineer (Manufacturing and Industrial)
  • The Manufacturing Engineer | Industrial Engineer will work towards increasing assembly line efficiency and reduce waste in manufacturing processes in Assembly plant environment.
  • Work with people, machines and materials to enhance the productivity.
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing Operations Manager
  • Suggest new methods to change layout of the manufacturing operation to increase production efficiency.
  • purchasing and installing equipment responding to breakdowns
  • investigating production problems
  • making improvements to current operations to enhance efficiency diagnosing faults planning and organizing maintenance
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
  • Complete production reports, purchase orders, and material, tool, and equipment lists.
  • Direct workers engaged in product measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability.
  • Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
  • Schedule deliveries based on production forecasts, material substitutions, storage and handling facilities, and maintenance requirements.

Job Requirements

  • English speaking and computer skill is necessary (E-mail, Microsoft Office)
  • Must have experience either performing the Industrial engineering functions or
  • Manufacturing engineering functions in a manufacturing plant.
  • If have knowledge of lean manufacturing or six sigma or TPS - Toyota production systems we will consider at first place.
  • Prior experience improving assembly line productivity in an automotive manufacturing environment (using lean or six sigma or other methodology),
  • Prior experience studying man, machine, method - process to document the process and then improve the process.
  • 3+ years' experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant or Parts Manufacturing plant.
  • B-tech or BE is Preferred (Degree is not required if you have a record of accomplishment of exceptional experience).
  • Shift and 'on-call1 work may be required
  • Career progression often happens through moves into managerial positions or related areas of implement such as plant/production engineering.
  • Dealing with complexity, multitasking ability is what we expected
  • Communication, Leadership, supervision and management skill is required
