Job Description
· Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and general ledger.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
· Manage cash flow and forecasting, ensuring optimal liquidity and financial stability.
· Supervise and review reconciliations of bank statements, intercompany accounts, and balance sheets.
· Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Coordinate and liaise with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
· Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and withholding taxes.
· Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
· Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
· Support budget preparation, financial planning, and performance analysis.
· Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance evaluations.
· Maintain accounting software and systems, ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.
· Compliance in HSSE policies and procedures on finance teams.

Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred.
· Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
· Experience in the oil & gas or refinery industry is highly desirable.
· Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and tax regulations.
· Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Proven track record of managing accounting operations in a complex and regulated environment.
· Hands-on experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
· Experience working with auditors and regulatory authorities.
· Industry experience in refinery, oil & gas, or energy sectors preferred.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
