Job Description
General Responsibilities
Responsible for executing and optimizing international trades related to agricultural commodities, including developing new export markets, managing existing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws.
Role and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are to:
· Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize profits and minimize costs.
· Establish and maintain relationships with international partners, including customers, distributors, suppliers and agents to expand the company's trading network and maximize opportunities.
· Liaise with customs and other government bodies such as Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Transportation and communication to ensure compliance with regulations.
· Monitor international regulations and compliance requirements.
· Prepare export documentation such as invoices, packing lists and bills of lading
· Ensure the timely clearance of goods at destinations and assist in other logistics issues such as storage and transportation.
· Negotiate shipping contracts and freight forwarding agreements.
· Negotiate favorable pricing terms with suppliers and customers to ensure competitive and profitable trading transactions.
· Develop and maintain all trade- related documentation, contracts and records.
· Conduct thorough market analysis, stay updated with industry trends, monitor supply and demand dynamics, competitor activities, customer feedback and evaluate geopolitical factors to make informed trading decisions.
· Take overall responsibility for coordinating the logistics of trading activities.
· Address customer inquiries and complaints
· Coordinate with accounts team for issuance of invoices as per contract terms and conditions and coordinate with buyer on accounts receivables
· Monitor and analyse trading performance, profitability and identify areas of improvement
· Manage, train and mentor staff.
· Perform other duties assigned by CEO.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in B.Agr.Sc or Any Degree with related certification.
· Minimum over 7 years of working experience in the area of trading and experience in agriculture products are preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Fluent in English
· Proficient Microsoft Office
· Sound knowledge of sellers and buyers contracts and must have experience in containerized shipment of physical commodity and its documentation
· Have excellent connections with overseas buyers
· Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
· Understanding of the agriculture industry
· Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior
· Strong customer relationship-building skills to understand customer needs, address concerns, and maintain long-term relationships
· Financial knowledge and effective budget management.
