Job Description
Teaching and Learning (Myanmar Curriculum)
v Consult with the Head of Languages, regarding all matters concerning the Myanmar Curriculum.
v In consultation with the Head of Languages, Lead the design and implementation of a balanced, engaging and inclusive Myanmar curriculum that meets the needs set by the Myanmar Ministry of Education and the needs of the Network Teaching and Learning Policy.
v Ensure an appropriate curriculum for the three different levels of Myanmar Studies learners: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
v Evaluate and adapt the curriculum to meet school requirements, as well as government expectations and standards.
v Ensure alignment between curriculum objectives, classroom activities and assessment practices.
v Develop assessment strategies that are aligned with the Myanmar curriculum goals and allow for accurate measurement of student progress, following the Network Assessment and Reporting Policy.
v Be informed and up to date about changes in Myanmar curriculum requirements.
v Support Myanmar teaching staff in effective lesson planning and delivery to foster high levels of student engagement and achievement.
v Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging Myanmar teachers to share best practices and learn from each other.
v Deliver curriculum related professional development opportunities through the Faculty CPD programme.

v Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures, so as to support the school’s values and vision.
v Make a positive contribution to school ethos and the wider life of the school.
v Establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
v Work with others on curriculum and student development to secure coordinated outcomes.
v Collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within and beyond the school.
v Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues.
v Organise and participate in extracurricular activities such as ECAs, class trips and sporting or social events.
v Participate in the school’s CPD programme and support the professional development of others.
v Participate in the school’s Performance Management Review process.
v Comply with the school’s Health and Safety Policy.
v Provide cover, in the circumstance that another teacher is unable to teach.
v Attend all appropriate meetings.
v Set high expectations for student behaviour and take responsibility for managing it in the classroom and on school campus..
v Carry out additional duties, as the Secondary Leadership
v Team may reasonably request, from time to time.
Job Requirements
v Completed Network Myanmar Diploma Level 3
v Good understanding of UK Teacher Standards MoE ‘Green Card’
v Excellent record of attendance and high level of commitment to school life.
v Experience of taking a lead role in the organizing and delivering of whole class, small group or individual learning activities.
v Experience of administrative organization in school environment.
v Excellent level of spoken and written English and Myanmar.
v Excellent record of attendance and high level of commitment to school life.
v Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
v Ability to mentor adults.
v Successful application of Network’s Teaching & Learning Policy.
v Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
v Ability to use technology effectively to support learning.
